Jane C. Shuster

Born and raised in Summit, NJ daughter of Donald Maehl and the late Ruth (Bammann) Maehl, she was a 1985 graduate of Summit High School. Jane went on to continue her education at Juniata College, where she achieved her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Work and then achieved her Masters Degree at Marywood University. She was a Social Worker working primarily with residental treatment programs.

In 2008, Jane moved to Lower Bucks County, where she became a very active member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Newtown. She served as the President of the Congregation and also enjoyed singing in the Choir.

Jane loved the outdoors, especially camping, the seashore and long walks. She was an active game player and also enjoyed following the Phillies and the Eagles with her husband.

Jane will be fondly remembered as a woman of deep faith and for having a wonderful sense of humor. However, she will be mostly remembered as a loving, caring wife, family member and friend.

Dearly beloved wife of 10 years to Clark L., Jane is the dear sister of Ken Maehl (Barbara), Tom Maehl (Meg) and the late Susan Maehl.

She will also be sadly missed by 5 nieces and nephews, extended family, and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 9:30 until 11:30 at the Ascension Lutheran Church, 900 Washington Crossing Rd, Newtown, PA 18940, where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church at the above address.
