Janet L. King

Janet L. King, died on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, surrounded by her loving family, at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Philadelphia. She was 77. Mrs. King was a resident of Falls Township since 1961. She was a member of the Brethren Church of Levittown and the Falls Township Senior Citizens. She was the owner and operator of Kings Homemade Candies. Mrs. King enjoyed gardening and quilting, however her greatest enjoyment and proudest moments were time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. Beloved wife of 57 years to Dean E. King, Mrs. King is the loving mother of Kevin M. King (Susan West) and Kay L. Hatch (Jefferson L.). She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Christopher S. and Lauren D. King and Scott R. and Bryant D. Hatch, 1 niece and 2 nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown 19056. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, 11:00 am at the Christ United Methodist Church, 501 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030. There will be no calling hours on Monday. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions in her name be made to Cancer Treatment Center of America, 1331 E. Wyoming Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19124; Christ United Methodist Church, 501 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, PA 19030 or to the First Presbyterian Church of Branchville, PO Box 1, Branchville, NJ 07826.
