Joan P. Balent Joan P. Balent died on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Sunrise of Lower Makefield in Yardley at the age of 82. Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Balent was an original homeowner in the Orangewood section of Levittown.Mrs. Balent was a longtime devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Levittown where she was also a former Sunday School Teacher.Prior to retiring, Mrs. Balent was the manager of the George Washington Motor Lodge in Philadelphia for over 20 years.She was an avid reader, loved the beach, and spending time with her grandchildren at the Jersey Shore. Mrs. Balent always enjoyed family get togethers at the holidays, most especially at Christmas.She always was positive about everything.Beloved wife of the late John J. Balent, Sr., she is surived by her devoted children; John J. Balent, Jr. (Debbie), Kathy Maziarz (Joe), Glenn Balent, Patricia Whitman, Michael Balent (Lisa) and Marlene Balent.Mrs. Balent was the loving grandmother of 15; proud great grandmother of 15; sister of Harry Porter; and dear aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 25, 2018, from 10:30 until 11:30 at the First Presbyterian Church of Levittown, 5918 Emilie Road, Levittown, PA 19057 where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 am. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Levittown at the address noted above.
