Joan L. Ryan

Joan Laura Ryan, (formerly LaRue) of Levittown died on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at her home. She was 58. Born in Philadelphia, Joanie has been a resident of Levittown since 1955. She was a 1970 graduate of Pennsbury High School and attended St. Frances Medical Center School of Nursing. Joanie was the owner of Granny and Mommy Handcraft Boutique and was most recently employed at Shop Rite at the deli counter. She loved sewing, spending time at Penn Warner Lake and singing and dancing with family and friends. Joanie is survived by her loving soul mate Jeffrey Cameron; her beloved daughters Tammy LaRue and Cindy La Rue; Kelly Cameron, Jeff Cameron Jr. and especially Sean Michael Cameron, who she adored. She was the grandmother of Madelyn, Jason, Samantha and Justin. Joanie will also be sadly missed by her sister Nancy and her husband Bill Tomlinson; her nieces and nephews, Scotty, Amy, Rob, Sherri, Katie, Chuckie and Sara; and the father of her children, David LaRue She was preceded in death by her parents June and Edward Ryan; Jeff's parents Milicent and Arthur "Shakey" Cameron and her niece Elizabeth;. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, November 27, 2010 from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m conducted by Teddy Ryan.
