

Born in Skippack, PA to the late Camillo and Pearl Mariano (Cavalieri), he was a long-time resident of Lower Bucks County. In his younger years, he served in the National Guard. John spent many decades of his career in the trucking industry, owning and operating Mariano Motor Express and Jamson Leasing. After a short-lived retirement, John began building homes alongside his late brother, Rocco Mariano, before retiring for good to spend more time with his family.
John was very passionate about his home garden, spending most of his free time working in the yard of his Langhorne home tending to the flowers. In the winter months, John enjoyed activities like completing jigsaw puzzles, playing cards, and following Philadelphia sports.
Beloved husband of the late Clare A. (Miller), John is the loving father of John A. Mariano Jr. (Mary Kay), Denny Mariano-Gulbin, Ann Mariano, the late Kathleen Mariano, and the late Neen Mariano-Singh.
He is the devoted Pop to his grandchildren, Katie, Johnny, Jimmy, Ronnie, Rocky, Amy, and Matt. He is the adoring Great G-Pop to Johnny IV, Lucia, James, Jaxson, Owen and Cole.
John was preceded in death by his siblings, James “Brother” Brennan, Thomas (Lillian) Brennan, Margaret Brennan, Rocco Mariano, Theresa Tursi, and Louise (Robert) Hutchinson.
John is also survived by his sister, Lucille Orfe, as well as Sue Reyes (Jose), cherished family members.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:30 AM at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
