

John Casper Peters, of Levittown died on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. He was 57. Born in Philadelphia, John has been a life long resident of Levittown and was a 1972 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and was in the NROTC. He was formerly employed with U.S. Steel for a time and was most recently employed with the Bristol Township School District for several years. John was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Cancer Society Prostate Group at St. Mary Medical Center. He was an Army veteran. John enjoyed bowling and watching movies, but mostly loved to spend time with his family. He was the son of the late John and Helen (Miller) Peters. John was the beloved husband of 32 years of Joan R. (Craner) Peters and the loving father of Jaclyn A. Peters. He will also be sadly missed by his sisters Sharon and her husband Harry Mervin of Levittown and Donna Peters of Croydon, 1 niece, 2 nephews, 6 great nephews, his favorite cousin Peggy Stelmaski and several other cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 12:00 noon until 1:15 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 1:15 p.m. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
