John was born in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, John Sr. and Cecelia Seixas (nee Ardigo). He graduated from North Catholic High School in 1951. After high school, John obtained a football scholarship to Loyla University. He went on to establish a career as an Insurance Agent, working for John Hancock Life Insurance Company. In addition, Mr. Seixas served in the US Army for two years during the Korean War.
John was a long time member of the Queen of the Universe Parish where he served as an altar server. He was also a lifelong football fan having been a prestigious player in both high school and college. John enjoyed watching football post-graduations.
John will be remembered as a wonderful communicator. He was always ready to give advice, and talk about his life stories. You could always count on John to find humor and positivity in anything.
John was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Margaret, his nephew John, and his nieces Margarite and Katherine.
John is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years Dolores Seixas (nee DiJoseph); his children: Brenda Staub (Jeff), Donna Whitney (Rick), Edward “Eddie” Dreyer (Wendy), and John Dreyer (Kathryn); his grandchildren: Jeffrey, Lauren, Richard, Samantha, Eric, Heather, Kelsey, Nicole, Hailey, and Caroline; his nine great-grandchildren; and his nephew Robert Bailey (Kim).
A visitation for John will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by a memorial service at 12:00 PM, and inurnment at 1:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, 1215 Super Highway, Langhorne, Pennsylvania 19047.
