John Q. Vance, Jr. John Q. Vance, Jr. died at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, September 25, 2013. He ws 88. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Mr. Vance has been a resident of Levittown since 1953. When arriving in Levittown, he founded Dairy Delite, which was his life. A member of Emilie United Methodist Church, Levittown, Mr. Vance served on the Board of Trustees. He served proudly in the US Navy during World War II. Beloved husband of 62 to years to Jean (Lefever), Mr. Vance was the loving father of Vicki Zabel of Inner Grove Heights, MN; Linda Vance of Cape Coral, FL; and Debra Waterman (Mark) of Langhorne. He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Mark, Sean, Nicole, Christopher and James. Family and friends are invited to gather at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA at precisely 9:45 am on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 where his memorial service will be held at 10 am. Memorial contributions in Mr. Vance's name may be made to Emilie United Methodist Church, 7300 New Falls Road, Levittown, PA 19057.
