

John W. Tomlinson John W. "Billy T." Tomlinson died on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Chandler Hall, Newtown. He was 77. Born in Andalusia, the son of the late William and Louise (Downs) Tomlinson, he was a lifetime Lower Bucks County resident and has resided in Middletown Township since 1970. He was a 1952 graduate of Bristol High School. Until his retirement in 1985, Mr. Tomlinson was a crane operator at USX Fairless Works for 35 years. He is a Korean War veteran, having proudly served in the US Army. Mr. Tomlinson was a life time member of American Legion Memorial Post 960, a long time member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians of Bristol, a member of the Bristol Moose Lodge 1169, and, was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Saint Joseph the Worker Council 4215. For the last 35 years, golf was his passion in life, however, he was still found to be an avid Phillies and Eagles sports fan. Beloved husband of the late Betty R. (Fisher), Mr. Tomlinson was the loving father of Brett and his wife, Suzanne of Langhorne and the proud grandfather of Emily, Abigail and Leah. He will also be sadly missed by his long time companion, Judy Walsh of Levittown. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, 614 Corson Street, Bristol, PA 19007.
