

Born on October 22, 1965 to the late Thomas and Dorothy (née Glover), Joe was a lifelong resident of the Levittown and Fairless Hills neighborhoods. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and especially loved to cheer on the Eagles and Phillies through both good times and bad.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Susan Evert (née Kiss); his brother, Thomas Evert; his niece, Skylar Evert; his father-in-law, Joseph Kiss; his brothers-in-law, Paul Smarr and Mark Wornczyk; and his best friend, Gary Lichtenberger.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter Keirstyn Morgan (Caitlin); his grandson Nathan; his brother Lee (Debbie); his sisters Debbie Hartman (Joe), Kathy Zimmerman (Mark), Cheryl Smarr, Tina Evert (Joe), and Janet Plata (Juan); his mother-in-law Joan Kiss; his sister-in-law Bernadette Wornczyk (George McCardle); his brother-in-law Joseph Kiss (Erin); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Joe was proud to have served in the United States Marine Corps, where he earned the M-16 Rifle Marksman Badge. He most recently served as a member of the Guardians of the National Cemetery honor guard at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA.
Memorial services and a celebration of Joe’s life will be held privately with his family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Joe’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, in honor of his dedication and service to his country.
