

Joseph Robert King, Jr. Joseph Robert King, Jr. died suddenly on Saturday, September 1, 2012. He was 67. Born in Batesville, IN, the son of the late Anna Mae (Smith) and Joseph R. King, Sr., he was a resident of Levittown for over 50 years. Joseph was a retiree of US Steel and also worked at the Glen Hollow Apartments, Bensalem for many years, where he was loved by his co-workers and residents. Joseph served as a Medic in the US Army from 1964-1968. He enjoyed history, and antique cars and loved animals. He was an outdoor person who truly loved nature. Many of his philosophies and his overall outlook on life came from the fact that he was a descendant of the Native American Indians. Joseph was a kind, sensitive and caring person. His greatest achievements in life were his children and grandchildren. Beloved husband of 48 years to Margaret (Pat) (Mayette), he was the loving father of Michelle Obert, (Glenn), Joseph King III (Shelly) and Christina King; very proud grandfather of Steffin King, Kristian, Tiffany and Madison Obert, Lauren and Kelsey King and brother of Carolyn Weeks and the late Elizabeth (Betty) Ryan. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 10 am until 12:00 noon at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where his Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place at 10:00 AM on FRIDAY at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
