Joyce Grace Garrison-Sochalski

Joyce Garrison-Sochalski of Edgely, died on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at Silver Lake Center. She was 80. Born in Trenton, NJ, Joyce was the daughter of the late Charles and Leota Garrison. She was a lifetime resident of Edgely. In addition to the peace of sitting in her garden of flowers, Joyce loved making jokes and enjoying life, in particular spending time with her family, especially during the holiday season. She was devoted to her dog Luke and her cat Felix. Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Charles and the mother of Steven (Debbie) Sochalski, Wayne (Monica) Sochalski, Susan Berghof and her boyfriend Scott Gilmore, Gary (Michele) Sochalski, and Michael Sochalski and his life partner Alex McGowan. She will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Steven Jr., Jeremy, Daniel, Wayne Jr., Kevin, Diana, James Jr., Jaclyn, Valerie, Stephanie, Rhiannon, David, Tara and Jacob and great grandchildren Tyler, Emily, Logan, Kayleigh, Lillianna, Gavin and Caitlyn. Mrs. Sochalski was the loving sister of Lorraine and the grandmother of Michael, both of whom preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Suite 700, 1617 JFK Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or the American Lung Association, Suite 403, 527 Plymouth Road, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462. Services and interment are private at the request of her family.
