Joyce was born in Leonardtown Maryland on November 11, 1943, the daughter of the late Gertrude Stepper and the sister of the late Michael McCabe.
She attended and graduated from Lincoln High School. Soon after graduation she got married and started her family. Joyce was a mother of five beautiful children. She started her career at Whitman’s Chocolate working as a candy sorter in 1981. Joyce worked at Whitman‘s Chocolate until the factory closed in 1993.
Joyce met the love of her life Greg Gresh, who she later married on September 29, 1984.
She then proceeded to further her education as a medical assistant. Joyce worked for about 10 years at Durham Physicians, then turned her compassion for the elderly and worked for Visiting Angels for a short period before retiring to spend time with her husband.
Joyce enjoyed spending time at her vacation home in Maryland with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She also enjoyed being a member of THE RED HAT SOCIETY, where the ladies wore purple and red.
Soon after the vacation home was sold, her husband passed away.
Predeceased by her husband; and her son Charles “Chuckie” Bloom.
Joyce was survived by her children, Kevin Bloom (Barbara), Donna Conboy (Joe), Lynne Thompson (George), Denise Daut (Tom); her grandchildren, Christopher (Kayla), Heather, Charles (Melissa), Kerilyn, Melissa, Brandon, Mariah, Amanda (Frank), James, Tyler, Michael, and Thomas Jr; her 22 lovely great grandchildren and 1 beautiful great-great granddaughter Ava Lynn.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon, followed by a funeral service, at the James J Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ.
