Kenneth was the loving husband of Joyce L. (Olson) Jarlsberg. The couple shared over 72 years of love together.
Born in Cambridge, Wisconsin, Kenneth was the son of the late Hans Olaf and Stella (Netland) Jarlsberg. He was preceded in death by his sister and his four brothers, also WWII veterans.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII from 1942 to 1945 in England, France, and Germany. Upon completing his service, he attended and graduated from the University of Wisconsin and received a Bachelors of Science degree followed by night schooling at the Madison Business College for accounting. He then spent his career at Electric Storage Battery incorporated / Exide Batteries where he spent 33 years as an Accounting Manager.
Upon retirement, he became the loving grandpa to his grandchildren and spent time caring for them, taking them on adventures, telling them stories, playing games and was the master at Parcheesi and Racko. If you asked grandpa his favorite meal, we all knew, a blueberry pancake with sour cream, no butter and warm syrup was his go to! Kenneth also loved to recite the Norwegian Prayer before meals in Norwegian.
Kenneth was a member of Gideons International for over 50 years and a member of Trinity Community Church. He loved the Hymns of faith that talked of God’s love and presence in our lives. Because of his love for God and faith, he knew the importance of prayer and shared his love of God openly and freely.
In addition to his wife, Joyce, Kenneth will be dearly missed by his children Stacey and Eve (Boston) Jarlsberg, Claudia and Dan Blaha, Lance and Francine (Faulkner) Jarlsberg, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren along with spouses and more grandchildren on the way.
Relatives and Friends are invited to greet Kenneth's family on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Trinity Community Church, 1122 Frosty Hollow Road, Langhorne, PA 19047 from 11:00 am until 11:55 at which time US Military Honors will occur followed by a memorial service.
