Born in Trenton, NJ to the late Charles and Miriam Duerr, Larry lived in Fairless Hills with his beloved wife Marilyn for 63 years.
Larry graduated from Pennsbury High School in 1958 and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for four years, serving one year in Korea. After serving his country, he worked as an auto mechanic at Broadway’s Mobil Station in Morrisville, PA. In 1974, he opened Larry’s Auto Repair in Fallsington, which he ran until his retirement in 2000.
In retirement Larry continued to enjoy golfing, camping, hunting, maintaining fields and umpiring Little League games, tending his lawn and landscaping, and watching girls’ softball and Penn State football games.
Larry was blessed with a large family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gerald Duerr; sisters-in-law Kathy Duerr and Angela Duerr; and grandson Eric Duerr.
He is survived by his children: Lynne Duerr of Doylestown, PA; Sharon (Mike) Aquaro of Buckingham, PA; Todd (Susan) Duerr of Chadds Ford, PA; and Kim (Bob) Martin of Bradenton, FL, and Cape May, NJ. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Lauren (Justin) Scott of Hilltown, PA; Brad (Dani) Duerr of Folsom, PA; Kristen (Sam) French of Downingtown, PA; Natalie Duerr and her fiancé Jay of Malvern, PA; and Adam Aquaro of Buckingham, PA. He was the proud great-grandfather of Mackenzie Scott and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his second great-grandchild in June 2025.
Larry is also survived by four siblings: Bruce (Ceil) Duerr of Turnersville, NJ; Timothy Duerr of Newtown, PA; Barbara (Mike) Mizenko of Newtown, PA; and Steven (Debbie) Duerr of Ewing, NJ. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Peggy Perrine of Levittown, PA, and Betty Cannon of Hamilton, NJ, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday, June 10, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
