Lester F. Hewitt

Lester F. Hewitt passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Vitas Hospice at Nazareth Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 68. Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Fred and Helen Hewitt, Mr. Hewitt was a Lower Bucks County resident since 1975. He enjoyed going to the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City and Dunkin Donuts with his wife and he was a huge Phillies fan. He also would enjoy working on crossword puzzles. However, his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Hewitt served in the US Army. He was a truck driver for Unitog Rental in Bristol. Beloved husband for 42 years to Helen E. (Vallette), Mr. Hewitt is the loving father of Leonard F. Hewitt, Sr. and Debra A. Kuehnle (Wesley) all of Levittown. He will also be sadly missed by his adoring grandchildren, Amanda and Emily Kuehnle, and Leonard Jr., Tracy, Caitlin Rose, and Chelsea Hewitt. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:00 am at Hope Lutheran Church, 2600 Haines Road, Levittown where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. The family has requested that memorial contributions in his name be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 555 E. North Lane, Suite 5010, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
