

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the middle child of John G II and Laura (Fuoss) England. Lorraine she spent her entire life in Bucks County, PA. She spent her childhood and teenage years in Trevose, and her married life in Bensalem.
Having been raised during the Depression and World War II years, Lorraine acquired skills that helped to bring her success in her adult life. Always a hard worker even as a child, she assisted her parents in operating a mom and pop grocery store, working after school. She enjoyed poetry and performing in school plays.
Upon graduating Lower Moreland High School in a class of 49 graduates in 1949, she secured a position with Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator. It was during this time she met Daniel David Dalessandro at a local Trevose Dance Hall. The couple married April 14, 1951.
Lorraine became a devoted homemaker, and the mother of four children. Her family and home was central to Lorraine, but she also loved doing handcrafts, was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed other needle arts such as crocheting, knitting, tattings, embroidery and cross stitch.
In the 1970s, she worked as a salesperson, followed by employment at Modern Marketing, and concluding her work career with many years of service at the United States Postal Office. After retiring, she had great fun traveling across the US, including trips to Bermuda and Scotland.
Lorraine's life was defined by her devotion to family, her kindness, in reaching out and helping others, and the strength she demonstrated throughout her life.
Predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband of 47 years, Daniel D. Dalessandro; and her older sister Laura England; Lorraine is survived by her adoring children, Karen Diane Fowler (Clarence "Chico"), Daniel Richard Dalessandro (Joanne), Donald David Dalessandro (Lisa Maria), and Dennis Joseph Dalessandro (Heather); her 12 grandchildren, Jennifer, Emilee, Zachary, Megan, Nathan, Jacklyn, Brandon, Collin, Lauren, Conner, Allyson and Ashley; her 13 great grandchildren, Katie, Isabella, Jackson, Baeron, Maddon, Eslie, Abel, Azzy, Maya, Ari, Ayla, Freya, and Genevieve.
Lorraine is also survived by her younger brother, John G. England III.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service, at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA. Burial will take place at Forest Hills Cemetery, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
