
Mrs. Callahan was the beloved wife of the late Jack R. Callahan.
Born in Trenton, NJ, Mrs. Callahan was a long-time resident of Fairless Hills. She was employed as a debit clerk by Channel Home Centers for 20 years, until her retirement in 1991.
For more than 20 years Betty and her husband Jack were foster parents for Children's Home Society of NJ. They lovingly cared for over 100 children during their years of service and were named Foster Parents of the Year in 1960. Betty was a member of the African Violet Society of Lower Bucks County and a lifetime member of The African Violet Society of America, Inc.
Mrs. Callahan was predeceased by her siblings Theodore Scheible, Mildred Scheible, Eleanore Miller, Edna Frees, Florence Helbling and Virginia Yates.
She is the loving mother of Linda Evans of Feasterville, Judy Callum of Doylestown, and Gordon Callahan of Haymarket, VA.
She is also survived by her four grandchildren Kelly and Dawn Evans and Tyler and Dylan Callum, five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Callahan will be private.
