Margaret B. Tierney Margaret B. "Peggy" Tierney died surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Aria Health Bucks Campus. She was 86. Born and raised in the Mayfair Section of Philadelphia, the daughter of the late John A. and Margaret B. (Taylor) O'Neill, she was an originial homeowner in Levittown, Middletown Township. For most of her working career Mrs. Tierney was a real estate broker, beginning with DeSouza Real Estate. She worked mostly throughout Lower Bucks County and was one of the first woman in real estate in the area. She was a member of the Philadelphia Women's Realty Association and served as past treasurer. Mrs. Tierney was a member of Queen of the Universe Parish. She volunteered for many years at the voter polls at Samuel Everett Elementary School. Beloved wife of the late William P. Tierney, Jr., she was the loving mother of Jacquelyn A. Sowden of Levittown and William P. Tierney III, the devoted grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline M. McGrath. Family and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Mass, Thursday, 10:00 am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown followed by Rite of Committal in Resurrection Cemetery.
