Marie I. Shannon (Marshall)

Marie I. Shannon (Marshall) died on Monday, August 2, 2010 at Willow Ridge Nursing Home, Hatboro. She was 84. Mrs. Shannon was born and raised in Northeast Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Marie E. (Fitzsimmons) and Thomas G. Mansell, Sr. She was an original Levittown homeowner, moving to Bristol Township in 1953. She was predeceased by her husbands, Eugene R. Marshall and Raymond Shannon, her grandson, John Russell Evans, her sisters, Florence and Evelyn and her brother, Robert. Mrs. Shannon was the loving mother of Linda Evans Maurer (Donald), Larry Marshall (Virginia), Cynthia Gilbert (Jerry), Kathleen Webb, Joseph Shannon (Mary), Charleen Castro (Eddie), Marie Valerio (Anthony), the devoted grandmother of 16 and the proud great grandmother of 3. She will also be sadly missed by her brother, Thomas Mansell. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 8:00 until 9:15 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Church followed by Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.
