

Born in Wilkinsburg, PA, Mrs. Powers was an original Levittown homeowner. She worked in the cafeteria at Thiokol and was a summer gate guard for the LPRA. She retired from the Bristol Township School District where she was a secretary for 35 years. She also served as Judge of Elections in her district for many years. She volunteered at the Bristol Riverside Theater and enjoyed every minute of their productions.
Mrs. Powers loved spending time outdoors working in her yard. Her main love was cleaning and shopping. She also enjoyed going dancing. Marilyn was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Fairless Hills.
Preceded in death by her parents, James Pierce, Sr. and Margaret Pearl Parsons and brothers, Joseph Blair Parsons and James Pierce Parsons Jr.. Mrs. Powers is survived by her children, Bernie Powers (Patricia ) of Fairless Hills, Mark Powers of England, Jeffrey Powers (Dianna) of Langhorne and Shawn Powers (Ruth) of Levittown; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also her sister, Margaret "Peggy" and her husband Edward Malandra along with several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 until 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where her funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Emilie United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bristol Riverside Theater, 120 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007.
