Marion graduated from Little Flower High School in Philadelphia and went on to earn a degree in Music Education from Temple University. After graduating from Temple,she taught music in the Bristol Borough school system. Her life centered around her faith and family. She was a dedicated parishioner of Queen of the Universe Catholic Church in Levittown. She also served as an organist, a member of the Regina Guild and the Prayer Line for many years.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Edward F. Flood, her son, John Flood, her daughter, Kathleen Gallagher, her parents, John and Mary Skiffington, and her three brothers John Skiffington, Hugh Skiffington and, Joseph Skiffington.
She is survived by her children Edward Flood and wife Theresa; Marian Embry and husband Mark; Rose Flood; Gerald Flood and wife Nicole; Kevin Flood and wife Elaine; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
There will be visiting hours Thursday, January 25th from 8:00 am until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA 19056.
A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA.19056.
Interment will be at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery, 111 New Street, New Hope, PA 18938 after Mass.
