Mary Ann was born in Philadelphia, PA, to parents, George and Margaret VanArsdale. She graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing in 1970, and pursued her vocation as a Registered Nurse for many years, working first at Princeton Hospital then St Mary Medical Center for over 20 years.
Mary Ann enjoyed cooking, baking, and socializing with family and friends. She sent cards and letters to veterans, widows, and soldiers overseas who she never even met. Mary Ann was the ultimate wordsmith, crafting very meaningful sentiment into her letters that created life-long bonds with everyone who read her words.
Mary Ann was preceded in death by both parents and by her younger sister, Peg. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob and two loving sons and their spouses. Bob (Aleksandra) of Gaithersburg, MD, and Jim (Kate) of Snellville, GA, her sister Elizabeth and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Queen of the Universe, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056, followed by a memorial mass and inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
