Mary Jo Wagner

Born in Chicago, and raised in Arlington Heights, IL, she was a 1955 graduate of Arlington Heights High School. In 1958 she and her husband, Thomas, married at St. James Church in Arlington Heights and then moved to Levittown. Mary Jo was a member of both Immaculate Conception and Queen of the Universe Parishes.

Mary Jo spent much of her time working for the family business, Under the Pier Restaurant, where she played many roles from weekend hostess to payroll clerk. She also had a fondness for playing the stock market and enjoyed investing. She was an avid reader, never without a book.

A dedicated mother and grandmother, she was an advocate for all children’s charities.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas H. Sr., Mrs. Wagner is the loving mother of Marie E. Herre, Cathleen A. Wagner, Thomas H. Wagner II (Bernadette), Laura J. Crowther (Edward), Elizabeth K. Wagner-Newell (Jonathan) and Joseph V. Wagner.

She is the devoted grandmother of 10; proud great grandmother of 4; and sister of Frederick Emig.

Mrs. Wagner will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services and interment will be held privately.
