

PFC Michael A. Kane, Jr. PFC Michael A. Kane, Jr. died on Thursday, September 13, 2012 in North Carolina. He was 19. Born in Langhorne, PFC Kane was a lifetime Lower Bucks County resident. He was a 2011 graduate of Neshaminy High Class where he ran cross country. Michael was a cadet with the Civil Air Patrol Squad 101 of Bucks County. He received his basic training in the Marine Corps with the 3rd Battalion, India Company, Platoon 3100 in Paris Island, SC; MCT with Golf Company, 4th Platoon Camp Geiger, NC; MOS, 3521 Motor Transportation Mechanics, 2nd Maintenance Battalion, Camp Johnson, NC and Camp LeJeune, NC. Michael was an avid Philly sports fan. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth Kane and his grandfather, Elwood Lex, Jr. Michael was the loving son of Lori A. Michaels (Philip) and Michael A. Kane, Sr. (Cheryl). He is also survived by his brother, Joseph E. Kane; step sister, Charlotte G. Dunn (Randy); step brother, Philip J. Michaels (Kristina); and his half sisters, Angelina and Ariella Kane all of Levittown. He will also be sadly missed by his niece, Layla Rose Michaels; his maternal grandmother, Claire L. Lex of Port Richey, FL; his step grandparents, Philip and Lucy Michaels of Levittown and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 6 - 9 pm and on Friday from 9:30 until 10:45 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 11:30 am at Our Lady of Grace Church, followed by Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
