

Norman K. KernerNorman K. Kerner crossed over peacefully into the welcoming, loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. He was 65.Norm was originally from Morrisville, currently residing in Langhorne and for 37 years, resided in Indian Creek in Levittown with his wife, Irene, of 44 years, as they raised their four children.He was employed by Atlantic Concrete as Precast Foreman, from 1973-2002, then Forman of the Bucks County Warehouse in Doylestown until his retirement in 2011.Norm enjoyed bass fishing, hunting, bowling, politics and gardening. In his later years of life, Norm enjoyed attending weekend Catholic Charismatic Retreats, participating in and attending church functions.He was a Sergeant E-5 in Vietnam for 2 tours of duty from 1969 until 1972; a member of the VFW, 4th Degree Honorable member of the Knights of Columbus; a lifetime member of the VFW Post 6393; a trophy lifetime member of the North American Fishing Club; a life member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society since 1999; and a life member of the North American Hunting Club sine 1988. Norm was a people person and will be extremely missed by many loved ones.Norm is survived by his loving wife, Irene (Nelson) Kerner to whom he was married 44 years. He is also survived by his Vietnamese daughter, Kimberly Vo and her husband, Tuong and their three children, Matthew, Mary and Madelyn, who reside in Georgia; his oldest son, Norman G. Kerner and wife, Kristy, and their three children, Zachary, Chase and Cosette in Fairless Hills; daughter, Amy and husband Rich Goodbred, and their two children, Cali and Richie, of Levittown; son, William and wife, Kelli and their children, Justin and Allie of Bristol; and youngest daughter, Crystal and husband, Scott Johannes and their children, Anthony and Raelyn of Levittown.Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Agie Kerner, and his brother and sister Pete and Agie. His surviving brothers and sisters are Ray (wife Tammy) of McClellandtown, PA, Kathie Piell (now of Kentucky), Mary Kelly (husband, Buddy or Herman), in Fairless Hills; Joe (or Yocko) of Arkansas; his Godmother, Mildred Kerner and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins, and yes, he was gratefully related to the Kerners in Morrisville!Sorry, we will have a closed casket, however, family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday,11:30 am, at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown, followed by the Rite of Committal in Washington Crossing Cemetery, Newtown.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Norm's name may be made to ALS Hope Foundation, PO Box 40777, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
