

Mr. Akinwande was a biology teacher and ordained pastor prior to his arrival in the United States. For 15 years, he was employed with the New Lisbon Developmental Center in Pemberton Township, New Jersey as a Licensed Practical Nurse . He was so compassionate, always willing to lend a helping hand or share a kind word.
Mr. Akinwande leaves behind his children, Israel (Melisa Martinez), Dorcas, Paul and David. He was predeceased by their mother, Funmilayo Omowunmi Akinwande.
He is also survived by a granddaugher, Amara Funmi Akinwande; his siblings, Temitayo Ajani, Kemi Akinwande, Eyitayo Oludele Akinwande, Grace Oluyemisi Adesanya and Olayemi Akinwande; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Langhorne Dialysis Center and Alliance Cancer Specialists for the care and compassion shown to Olusegun.
Relatives and friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:00 am, Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1818 Market Street, Suite 2820, Philadelphia, PA 19103 or the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
