

Mary Pat (Ayres) Hedden of Fallsington, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was 80Pat was born in Quaker Gardens, Hamilton Township, NJ on May 22, 1936, daughter of the late Earnest H. Ayres and the late Nora C. (Jones) Ayres. Pat graduated from Hamilton High School. She has resided in Fallsington for 55 years and retired from Comcast Cable after 30 years of service as an office manager.Pat was a devoted and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed lavishing time on her family especially during the Christmas season, surprising others with TastyKakes, sharing her favorite books and TV shows and traveling to any casino. She was an excellent crocheter and made numerous blankets for newborn babies in her extended circle of family and friends. Pat was a parishioner of St. Joseph the Worker Church in Fallsington prior to its closing and was a member of the Falls Township Fire Co. No. 1 Ladies Auxiliary.Pat was fiercely proud of her Irish Heritage, a trait she instilled in her children given that her late husband was also of Irish descent, and her grandparents were Irish immigrants from County Cork. She also took great pride in her family's connection to the Frankford section of Philadelphia.In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her loving husband Robert A. Hedden Sr. and her adored brother Earnest H. "Skip" Ayres Jr.She is survived by her children, Robert (Barbara), Colleen Feldmann (Rich) and Catherine Williams (Craig) all of Fallsington; Timothy P. Hedden (Michael Hall) of Manhattan, NYC; and Michael J. Ayres (Kevin Stevens) of Bradenton, FL and loving son-in-law Michael G. Callahan of Levittown. She is survived by her sister-in-law Kathleen Ayres and family of Hamilton Twp., NJ; cousin Ellen Hazelwood of Secane, PA and numerous members of the Hedden Clan of Mercer County, NJ. She leaves a loving legacy for her 9 grandchildren Michael G. Callahan Jr. (Diana), Meredith Callahan Brown (Andrew), Steven Feldmann (Nicole), Josie Feldmann, Craig A. Williams Jr. (Jen), Robert F. Hedden (Paige), Shannon Hedden, Erin Hedden and Brian Hedden and 6 great grandchildren Morgan Brown, Drew Brown, Colin Feldmann, Emily Feldmann, Ally Feldmann and the anxiously awaited Michael G. Callahan III.She will also be missed by her dearest friends Barbara and Jack Zielinski of Robbinsville, NJ, Clare Vogelei and Linda Gloster of Morrisvile and Linda Capriotti of Fallsington.Relatives and friends are invited to call from 5 until 8 p.m. on Sunday and 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. on Monday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown followed by Rite of Committal at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
