Patrick Ryan Galloway, of Levittown, Pennsylvania, passed to the other side surrounded by his family on Monday, August 23, 2021, following a courageous 10-month battle with cancer. He was 36-years young.
Patrick lived life on his own terms, and it was next to impossible not to love him for it. Intelligent, independent, candid, passionate, and naturally argumentative, he would debate anyone, anytime, anywhere - about anything really.
Patrick loved, and loved to argue about, the finer things in life - sports, music, craft beer, good food, and fine wine. But he loved nothing more in this world than being a father to his two wonderful children, Declan, 5, and Raegan, 2.
Patrick was a 2003 graduate of Conwell-Egan Catholic High School in Bucks County, where he made lifelong friendships, and later attended The American University in Washington, D.C.
Following his diagnosis, Patrick was truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from family, friends, friends of friends, co-workers, and folks from Ireland, Scotland, and elsewhere that he had never met before. During his battle with cancer, friends would travel hundreds of miles just to have a beer and watch a game with him.
Patrick will be remembered and missed every single day by his children and their mother, Taylor, his parents George and Cathy, his brother Connor and sister-in-law Sheri, his sister Mary Kate, his best friend and “brother from another mother” Jimmy, and all of his uncles, aunts, and many cousins from the Galloway and Burns clans, along with countless friends.
Patrick’s family wishes to thank Leslie Jacobs and all the nurses from Penn Medicine Hospice who helped to care for him when he needed it most, as well as the doctors, nurses, and staff at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for their heroic efforts and compassionate care.
All those who knew Patrick are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, August 28, at 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, immediately followed by a glorious Irish send off to take place at the “Big House" in Fairless Hills.
Fare thee well Pádraig. May the four winds blow you safely home. We will miss you terribly.
