

Paul Arden Bennett Paul A. Bennett, age 72, died peacefully at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, on Saturday, September 21, 2013, with his wife and daughters by his side. Paul was born in 1940, in Republic, PA ("back home" as he called it), where he enjoyed open roads and mountains. He and his wife, Carolyn, moved to the Levittown area in 1968 for Paul to start work at US Steel as a security guard. Everyone who passed through the gates of the Steel Mill got to know his face, his big black lunch box and buy his daughers' Girl Scout cookies. After working at US Steel, Paul was employed at the KMart Warehouse and briefly as a crossing guard with the Bristol Township School District. Paul loved to garden, deer hunt, fish, grocery shop and cook. His homemade noodles were famous and his 7 point buck is mounted proudly at his house. He was a generous friend and neighbor, always lending his shed tools and giving out a cold drink. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn, and 2 daughters, Linda and Diane. He will also be sadly missee by his 5 grandchildren, all affectionately called "Pete" and "George" - Maura, Chloe, Luke, Jack and Cliare Paul is also survived by his sister, Connie and brothers, Charlie, Grant and "Mush". Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm and on Thursday, from 9:30 until 10:30 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park, Bensalem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carolyn's church, Emmaus Road Lutheran Church, 520 Hood Blvd., Fairless Hills, PA 19030.
