He was born on November 30, 1955, at Delaware Valley Hospital to Frank and Florence Devlin. Paul spent most of his life in the Levittown area and built a life centered around family, work, and the simple joys he loved most.
Paul proudly worked at the Philadelphia Navy Shipyard earlier in his career and often reminisced fondly about his time there. He later dedicated many years of service to the School District of Philadelphia, from which he eventually retired.
Outside of work, Paul enjoyed spending time fishing and taking fishing trips whenever he had the chance. He was a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies fan and rarely missed an opportunity to watch his favorite team. Paul also enjoyed gardening and took pride in caring for his yard and plants. Above all, he was deeply devoted to his family and treasured the time spent with them.
Paul is now reunited with his parents, Frank J. Devlin and Florence W. Devlin, and his brothers: Michael Devlin of Levittown, Mark Devlin (Fran) of Levittown, and Patrick Devlin (Deirdre) of Bensalem.
He is survived by his loving spouse of 30 years, Barbara Smith; his stepchildren, Joseph (Angel), Jennifer (Steve), and Katherine Smith (Joe); and his beloved grandchildren—Haley, Ray, Jordyn, Bub, and Jason—who affectionately called him “Paw-Paw". He is also survived by his sister, Kathleen Becht (Michael); as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held by the family at a later date.
