

Randall J "Pappy" Crumpton of Levittown died on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at his home. He was 74.Born in Lenox, Georgia, Mr. Crumpton was raised in Ocala, Florida and resided in Jacksonville, Florida for many years, He has resided in Levittown for the past 5 years.Mr. Crumpton was a United States Marine retiring as a Gunnery Sergeant after 22 years. He was assigned to Guard Company, Marine Barracks, 8th & I, in Washington DC and served during the Vietnam War. During his service, he took part in military funeral honors for Lt. Gen. Chesty Puller.Mr. Crumpton is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Linda (Donohue); his loving children, Sean M. (Amber), Brandi J Clark, Mishelle Crumpton and Donnie Miller; eight grandchildren including Tyler, Anna and Grady and five great grandchildren.Son of the late Wilmer and Minnerva Crumpton and brother of the late Jeanette Barton, he is survived by two sisters, Helen Slaughter and Betty Smith as well as several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. precisely on Thursday at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd., Newtown.
