With shattered hearts and an immense amount of love, we announce the passing of Rebecca “Becci” McKamey-Cimbat, who left this world on March 1, 2026.
Born on August 27, 1964, in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Becci entered life with the same vibrance and spark that would define her every day thereafter.
Becci grew up on Jester Lane in Levittown, PA, and graduated from George School. She earned her Associate’s degree from Bucks County Community College, and studied History at Elizabethtown College. She worked for many years at Educational Testing Service (ETS), as well as ran her own painting business, Cobra Painters, with her husband.
Becci was the beloved daughter of Ingeborg McKamey née Franke and Purcell McKamey, and the cherished youngest sister of her six siblings, Purcell, Fritze, Schaunn, Dwaynne, Pirette, and her late brother, Dimitri. She was the loyal and devoted wife of Tomas “Turgut” Cimbat for 26 years — her “angel” in this world. Becci was the proud, deeply loving, and best mother of Sarah Elizabeth Cimbat — her greatest joy, her heart walking outside of her body.
She also adored her grand-fur-babies, the family dog Koda and cat Lovebug, who brought her endless smiles and comfort. She loved them as her family, showering them with affection just as she did everyone blessed enough to be in her world.
Becci had an eye for beauty— photography in her younger days, while decorating and makeup in her prime. She was full of color and radiant life. A true warrior, she faced life and death with unwavering strength and courage. With a loving, accepting heart and an animated presence, she lit up every room and was impossible not to love and adore.
She expressed herself in the most beautiful, colorful ways — through gardening, as her deepest passion. Becci found excitement in growing plants from seedlings, and creating handpicked flower bouquets. She enjoyed making a million different home-cooked meals for those she loved, shopping and trying on outfits as if each day was a runway, singing along to her favorite songs with the people she loved, and capturing memories through her camera lens. To be loved by Becci was to feel chosen, safe, and completely cherished.
Spring and summer mornings were sacred to her. Each morning, she drank her cup of coffee while sitting outside under her gazebo admiring her gardens. She would water each plant tenderly, tending to her flowers as if they were her children. Wherever the flowers may grow, Becci soon follows.
Above all else, Becci loved her family with a force that could move mountains. She gave every ounce of herself — her warm hugs, her loud and distinctive laughter, her big, beautiful smile, and her bright golden eyes that sparkled with pure life.
She loved to celebrate — to host, to party, to gather, to turn ordinary days into moments worth remembering. So let us celebrate her life every day whether by loving loudly, hugging tightly, planting something beautiful, cooking for someone we adore, dancing in the kitchen, laughing without hesitation, or capturing the moments that matter most. Let us step outside with our morning coffee and admire what is growing. Let us choose love the way she always did — fully, freely, and without condition.
Though Becci will be missed fiercely beyond words, her spirit blooms in every plant, in every home-cooked meal, in every stylish outfit, in every burst of laughter, and in every act of fierce, unconditional love.
Fiercely loved. Forever remembered. Found within us all.
