Beckie was born in Trenton, NJ, in 1939. She graduated from Beaver College in 1959 and Rider College in 1961 with degrees in Home Economics and Business. She moved to Levittown in 1962. She was a proud member of Christ United Methodist Church in Fairless Hills, where she became the church’s Office Manager in 1994, as well as being involved in many of its ministries - particularly those that helped people with food. She was also involved in many other groups through the years, including the Marfan Foundation, the Friends of Bolton Mansion, Relay For Life, the Pennsbury PTO, Boy and Girl Scouts.
Beckie loved doing crossword puzzles, gardening, spending family time at the Jersey Shore, and helping her friends. She was a lover of music, which she instilled in all her children. She collected teddy bears and Christmas nutcrackers, loved watching the Phillies, and her police shows.
Beckie was a very artistic person. She loved crafting and ceramics. She coordinated and participated in craft shows, charity events, block parties on Locust Lane, and countless other events over the years with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to Christ United Methodist Church (501 Wistar Road, Fairless Hills, PA) on Saturday, February 17, 2024, to express condolences at 10 a.m., and for a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow.
