Richard A. Lanning II

Richard A. Lanning, II died on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Lower Bucks Hospital, Bristol. He was 42. Born in Trenton, NJ, Richard had resided in Mercer County, NJ and Lehigh County, PA prior to becoming a resident of Lower Bucks County. He was an avid Oakland Raiders and New York Yankees fan. He enjoyed music and loved all animals and was also a Ford Mustang enthusiast. Richard was the loving son of Maria (Edwards) Buckman and her husband, Jack of Morrisville and Richard A. Lanning of Atlantic City, NJ. He was the devoted brother of Randy Lanning of Morrisville and the step brother of Gina L. Buckman of Coatesville and John Benjamin Buckman of Conshochocken. He will also be sadly missed by his grandmothers, Anna Edwards of Hamilton Square, NJ, and JoAnne Buckman of Hulmeville, his uncles, Joe Edwards (Donna) of Millstone Twp., NJ and Jim Edwards of Morrisville, his aunts, Luci Waddell of Hamilton Square, NJ and Patricia Ball of Orange County, CA, many cousins and also his good friends, Johnny G., Tim R. , and all of his friends in N.A. that showed such infinite kindness to us. Keep Strong. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where a memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, in keeping with Rich's love for animals, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to a no kill animal shelter of the donor's choice.
