Rita Kane

Rita KaneRita Mulcahy Kane died on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Crestview Center in Langhorne. She was 85.Born in Philadelphia, Rita was a long time resident of Langhorne and was a member of Queen of the Universe Parish, Levittown since 1955.She was a kind, gentle woman who always put others before herself. She was dedicated to her family and would especially light up around her grandchildren and great grandchildren.Rita was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and sewing.Her family wishes to thank the staff at Crestview Center for their loving and compassionate care given to Rita over the past year.Beloved mother of the late Thomas, Rita is survived by her devoted children, Patty O'Rouke (Norman) of Newtown; Jim Kane (Donna) of South Carolina; Eileen Lam (Cecil) and Loretta Kane (MIke Kennedy) all of Langhorne.She is the grandmother of 13; great grandmother of 11 with a great granddaughter on the way. She is also survived by her sisters, Bernadette Mulcahy, Catherine Dalton and Jean Robb and sister-in-law, Kathy Mulcahy.Rita will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 9:30 until 11:00 am at Saint Andrew Church, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, where her funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am. The Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to PNC Bank, Attn: Maeve Hollinger Medical Needs Trust, 10973 Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410, to support her great niece, Maeve, in her fight against Type I Diabetes.
