Robert Thomas Young Demi, affectionately known as Bob, passed away on March 22, 2026, at St. Mary Medical Center. A longtime resident of Levittown, Pennsylvania, Bob was born on March 23, 1954, in Princeton, New Jersey. At the age of three, he relocated with his family to Bucks County, where he spent most of his life. He was the beloved son of the late Burton C. Demi Sr. and Alice F. (Hershey) Demi.
Bob attended John Fitch elementary school and continued his education in the Bristol Township School district graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School Class of 1972. In his childhood, Bob spent many hours at the ball field near his home in the Greenbrook section of Levittown playing Little League Ball and swimming at the LPRA Brook pool and as a teenager Bob enjoyed surfing at the New Jersey shore.
After high school Bob worked various jobs in construction and with his father in plumbing until he found his passion as an industrial electrician. As an electrician, he worked for Garney Morris and traveled throughout the United States working in the Nuclear Power Plants which he loved.
As we all should know, Bob was a diehard sports fan. So much so that he had 3 TVs in his living room so he could watch 3 different games as well as a TV in his kitchen and one in his bathroom so he would not miss a single play. He especially loved Penn State Football and the Philadelphia Eagles. He went to many Eagles training camps at Lehigh Valley University.
Bob had many hobbies including woodworking with his father, welding and was basically a “jack of all trades”. Everyone knew if something wasn’t working call Bob. If Bob couldn’t fix it then most likely it wasn’t fixable. He also loved fishing on his bass boat, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and being part of the Bucks County Blues Society from its inception in 1977. He helped with that organization wherever there was a need including building stages, parking cars, and serving food for the shows.
Bob was well loved and had many friends from different walks in life, from Little League days through working for Garney Morris and all his friends from the Bucks County Blues Society but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, stepchildren and his grandchildren. Bob was a kind caring man and did his best to be a good influence on his stepchildren and grandchildren and kept everyone entertained with his stories about himself and that other guy, “his friend Bob”.
Bob often said throughout his time together with Dorothy that he had had an amazing life with a lot of crazy fun adventures and as much as he enjoyed them, he felt complete when in 2002 he finally got a family of his own. Last year was a tough one for Bob and he told Dorothy over and over again how happy he was to have been given the opportunity to be “Daddy Bob” to 4 kids and Pop-Pop to all his grandkids.
Bob is survived by his loving wife: Dorothy Allen Roth Demi; his stepchildren: Heather Smith (Steve Judge), Maureen Worley Soma (Andrew), Craig Roth (Caitlin), and Adam Roth, (Ericha); his grandchildren, Nicole, Nolan, and Lance Worley, Gavin, Lydia and Levi Roth, Sam and Jimmy Judge, Andie, Ash, and Dan Soma; and his two great grandchildren Rosie and Daxton. He was known as Pop-Pop not only to his grandchildren but to all their friends as well. Bob is also survived by his lifelong friend, and “Price is Right” partner in crime, Richie Bonczyk: his brother Burton Demi (Joan); his sister Pam Benton (John); his brothers-in-law Kevin Allen (Lisa), Dan Allen (Susan); his sister-in-law Karen Glancy (Kenny); and numerous nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A life celebration for Bob will be held on Friday April 3, 2026, at the Terchon VFW at 1315 Hardy Street, Levittown, PA 19057 at 1:00 PM. All are welcome.
If you know Bob, you know he wasn’t really a shirt and tie kind of guy, we all know he loved his T-shirts. If you would like, in honor of Bob, please feel free to wear a T-shirt depicting either Penn State, or a Philadelphia sports team, or Harley Davidson, or Bucks County Blues Society or any T-shirt with a humorous saying to his life celebration. He would love it.
