

Robert Edward Keen, 67, of Langhorne passed away on Thursday, May 23rd at his home with his family by his side after a long and brave fight against cancer. He was born on December 31, 1945 in DuBois, PA and retired from US Steel after 38 years. He was born to mother Helen Thompson Byrne and Earl Keen. He is also survived by his loving stepfather John Byrne. Robert was preceded in death by brother David Keen and sister Dawn Keen and is survived by brother John C. Keen and sister Janiell Groff (husband Barry); his three daughters Kristine (husband Rockie Spadaccino), Kerilynn (husband Erich Schmidt) and Cheyenne; son Bobby; eight grandchildren, Rocco, Matt, Dustin, Payton, Haylee, Ryan, Hanna and Hope. Robert was a lifelong resident of Bucks County growing up in Fairless Hills and graduated from Pennsbury High School. He served his Country in the U.S. Army Reserves and was an active leader in the community serving as President of Fairless Hills Little League and Coach for over a decade. He was an active member of the United Steelworkers Union and served as Treasurer for Local 4889. He enjoyed the outdoors, caring for his garden and horses, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. His passing will leave a tremendous hole in the hearts of his friends and family but his love will live on through all those that knew him. Robert's family would like to extend a special thank you to all the wonderful family and friends who helped care for Bob throughout his illness. We will miss you Pappy! Family and friends may call Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 until 10 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park.
