

Robert J. Soprano Robert J. Soprano died surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 80. Born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, the son of Robert and Elizabeth and formerly of Long Island, NY, he was a Lower Bucks County resident for the past 49 years. He was a graduate of Saint Nicholas High School in Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Soprano was a carpenter for Local 1856 of Philadelphia for many years until his retirement in the early 1990s. He served proudly in the US Marine Corps and was stationed in Guam and was discharged in July, 1952. Mr. Soprano was a member of the Yardley American Legion Post 317. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Beloved husband of Eileen (Shaw), he was the loving father of Debbie A. Stanley (William) of Levittown, Patti Gloge (Herb) of Levittown and Peggy Ilnicki (Dave) of Martinsburg, West Virginia and the stepfather of Stephanie Muska of Levittown, Amiee Brennan (Tom) of Levittown and Megan Boyle (MIchael) of Sicily, Italy. He will also be sadly missed by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Joseph. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, 11:30 until 1:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown where his Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 pm.
