Ruth E. Reed

Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Reed was a life long resident of Bristol Township.

For many years she was a waitress at the Howard Johnson Restaurant on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and later volunteered at Holy Redeemer Home Care.

She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, and board game searches and loved to travel and go camping.

More than anything else, Ruth loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas J., Mrs. Reed is the loving mother of Thomas (Sally), Wayne (Trudy) and Joyce Beck (Dave).

She is the devoted grandmother of Dawn Dennis (Nick), Tina Mammone (Tony), Wayne Reed, Robert Reed, Tracey Davis (Daryl), David Beck (Christine) and Tom Beck; proud great grandmother of Bill Kertz, Brandt Kertz, Devon Mammone, Ashley Mammone, Kaiya Reed, Aiyana Reed, Sara Davis, Kyle Davis, Rebecca Davis, Marisa Beck, Jayce Beck, Rylyn Beck, Tommy Beck and Phoenix Beck; and great great grandmother of Zayden.

Mrs. Reed will also be sadly missed by her nephew, Donald Jacoby.

Ruth was preceded in death by her sister, Blanch, and brother-in-law, Charles Jacoby.

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial service on Sunday, October 18th at 2:30 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, 2600 Haines Rd., Levittown where a visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Monday, October 19th at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
