Sandy was born on October 14, 1947, in Rock Camp, West Virginia, to parents, William W. Dent and Evelyn Dent. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Levittown, PA in 1965. Sandy continued her education, attending Ryder College. Sandy went on to establish a career as a(n) Secretary/Administrative Assistant, working for US Steele, Client Assistance Program and Bensalem Township School District.
Sandy was an avid reader of mysteries as well as a dedicated fan of a good British detective series. She served as a past Regent of the Independence Hall Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and prided herself on her knowledge of American and World History, with a remarkable memory for dates and impeccable attention to detail. Sandy was a faithful donor to both Saint Joseph’s and Saint Bonaventure Indian Schools.
It’s impossible to remember Sandy without mentioning her kindness and the consideration she showed others. The most consistently uttered phrase upon hearing of her passing was, “She was such a good friend.” Sandy cherished her family and friends, always making extra effort to recognize birthdays and special events with a card or phone call. Sandy was a natural caregiver. She had a gift for gab and throughout her life maintained lifelong friendships. A close second to the deep bonds she had with friends and family is the pride Sandy displayed for her home. Sandy maintained a beautifully kept house, taking care to decorate for each holiday and making each and every nook deliberate and special.
Sandy was preceded in death by parents, William and Evelyn Dent, sister, Barbara Ann Dent, and brothers, Barton Fox and William F. Dent.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Ed Glaser, and her loving daughter, Tracey Lynn Glaser-Gonzalez (son-in-law, Miguel Gonzalez), and grandsons, Christian Miguel and Chase Angel Gonzalez as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she held dear.
Sandy did not wish for a formal service. Her memory will carried forward by her family and friends as they continue gather for breakfasts, lunches and special occasions.
Memorial Contributions in Sandra Glaser’s name may be made to Saint Joseph’s Indian School or Saint Bonaventure Indian School.
