Shawn Robert GerrityShawn Robert Gerrity passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. He was 47.Born in Alexandria, VA, the son of Ann D. (Dougherty) and Edward J. Gerrity, Shawn was formerly of North Andover, MA prior to moving to Yardley 37 years ago. He has resided in Levittown for the past 12 years and has been a member of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish, Fairless Hills.Shawn was a 1988 graduate of Pennsbury High School.Shawn loved coaching his sons in sports. He was a soccer coach with Falls Township Soccer Club and basketball coach with the Pennsbury Recreation Basketball League. He was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing golf.For the past 5 years, Shawn has been employed in sales with the Idemitsu Lubricants of America, based in Detroit, MI.Beloved husband of 15 years to Stephanie L. (Marks), Shawn is the devoted and loving father of Kyle and Ryan.He is the brother of Brian (Amy) of Wake Forest, NC, Kevin (Kathryn) of Dallas, TX, and Colin (Lucia) of Penndel and the uncle to 8 nephews and 3 niecesShawn will also be sadly missed by his father-in-law, Eugene Marks (late Nancy) and his brothers-in-law, Jonathan Marks (Leah) of Warrington and Michael Marks of Langhorne and several aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members.Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 6:00 until 9:00 pm and on Thursday, from 8:00 until 9:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, 9:30 am at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, Fairless Hills, followed by the Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions Shawn's name may be made to the Children's Hospital of Pennsylvania, 34th St. and Civic Center Blvd., Development Office, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
