

Stephen Joseph Gowaty, age 52, passed away on December 10, 2025. Born on April 5, 1973 to Beverlee and Stephen Jr., he was a longtime resident of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and was deeply loved by all who knew him.
Known affectionately as Stevie, he graduated from Pennsbury High School, Class of 1993, where he participated in soccer, cross country, and track. He went on to work as a forklift operator, a role in which he demonstrated dedication, reliability, and a strong work ethic. Of Polish heritage, Stevie held a deep connection to his family and honored his roots throughout his life.
He lived his life with a quiet strength and an adventurous spirit. He was deeply compassionate and devoted to those he loved, always placing others before himself. His generosity and kindness were evident in even the smallest moments, and his gentle nature made people feel comfortable and understood. Stevie was a hard-working and honest man whose loyalty and patience never wavered, even in difficult times.
Stevie carried a resilient spirit throughout his life, meeting challenges with determination and grace. Thoughtful and wise, he often offered encouragement or humor exactly when it was needed most. His infectious sense of humor, paired with his warm heart, brought laughter and comfort to family and friends alike. Faithful and selfless, Stevie inspired those around him simply by the way he lived—steadfast, kind-hearted, and true to himself.
He found great joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing—both saltwater and freshwater—as well as spending peaceful time swimming in his pool. These pursuits reflected his love of nature and his adventurous nature.
Stevie is survived by his beloved mother, Beverlee Gowaty (nee VanDalen); his sister and brother-in-law, Kimberlee and Carl Capobianco; his cherished niece, Rebbecca; and nephew, Rocco. He is also survived by his godmother, Aunt Cindy; cousin, Leigh; and his uncle and aunt, Danny and Nina. Stevie’s loyal companions, his beloved dogs Bear and Guppy, were a constant source of comfort and joy in his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Joseph Gowaty Jr.
Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on December 16, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 p.m. he will be laid at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, 1215 Super Highway, Langhorne, Pennsylvania 19047.
His legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and unwavering devotion will live on forever in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
