Tom served his country with distinction as an army helicopter mechanic, earning commendations for his sharpshooting abilities with the rifle M-1 and expert marksmanship with the rifle M-14.
After serving his country, he embarked on a career that spanned over three and a half decades at the Grahm Packaging Company. It was there he found the whole package in Theresa; together they nurtured a loving family, fostering a spirit of adventure and togetherness.
Tom knew that world of adventure began at his doorstep and together he and Theresa embarked on many cross-country adventures. From Sin City to Alaskan cruises, you were sure to have a memorable experience with Tom at the wheel.
Yet, above all, Mr. Gibbon treasured moments surrounded by family. His home served as a beacon for family gatherings, where he relished the company of his loved ones. Tom’s perfect day involved hosting large family cookouts or having everyone over for Christmas breakfast, times during which his role as a loving husband, father, and "Pop-pop" flourished.
He is missed dearly by wife, Theresa; his devoted children: William (Delores), Theresa, Harry (Tara), and Edward; and his adoring seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Tom was predeceased by his beloved sisters Connie, Pam, and Pat.
Tom was a man who could enjoy the simple pleasures of life, a daily warm cup of coffee paired with a donut. His love and laughter were the best travel companions anyone could ask for, his memory will cruise on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
