Tom was married to Jodie for 42 years and shared a loving marriage together, they had three children together Matt, Jess, and Dan. He was always family first and putting their needs and wants in front of his own. He would treat everyone and especially all the kid’s friends like family and would look after them as if they were his own. In the later years nothing gave him more happiness than spending time with his granddaughters.
Tom was retired but previously worked as a Resident Engineer and was involved in construction projects involving every major highway in the Lower Bucks/ Philadelphia/ New Jersey Area. During his time on these projects, he was employed by PennDOT early on and spent much of his career with Urban Engineers, Inc. in Philadelphia.
Tom was an avid sports fan, in particular the Phillies and Eagles, and would always leave with a Go Birds! During the season and sometimes just at random. His sense of humor was amazing was always quick witted and always had a one liner ready to go... whether it be to make you think, groan or laugh. Tom always had a book by his side and was constantly reading, some of his favorites included Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler and Lee Childs, he never missed a new Jack Reacher release. Tom loved music, especially the stuff he grew up on including the Beatles, Rolling Stones and The Who. The best way to get him on your side was to tell him how much he resembled Clint Eastwood, which he reveled in.
Beloved son of the late Thomas J. Griffin and Anne (Smith) Griffin, Tom is the loving husband of the late Josephine “Jodie” (Rodgers) Griffin, father of Matthew T. Griffin, Jessica P. Schmidt (Stephen), and late Daniel P. Griffin.
