

Tom attended Saint Thomas More High School and was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School for Boys and Rider University. Until retiring in 1998, he was an insurance agent with State Farm for many years.
A proud US Army Korean War veteran, and recipient of the Korean War Service Medal, Tom was the former All State Commander and All State Quartermaster of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Chester W. Terchon Post #5542. He was also a member of American Legion Post 960, the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph the Worker Council 4215 and the Loyal Order of Elks Lodge 970.
Tom was an especially kind, gentle and generous man with a beautiful voice. He loved to sing and served for many years as choir director at Saint Mark Church in Bristol and Queen of the Universe Church in Levittown. His great love of music lead him to also serve as treasurer of the Delaware Valley Philharmonic and the Newtown Chamber Orchestra. In more recent years, Tom especially enjoyed directing the Delaware Valley Choral Society in their many performances at local nursing homes.
Tom was also a big sports fan and enjoyed following the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers. He, himself, was an avid golfer.
Beloved husband of Diane (Myers) Maher King and the late Claire A. King, he is the loving father of Thomas V. King, Jr. (Candice), Claire A. King (Robyn), Grace Greway (Anthony) and James Maher (Terry).
He will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Sean, Andrew, Rachel, Nicholas, Brendan, Allie, Zachary and Chelsea and his great granddaughter, Quinn.
Family and friends are invited to attend his committal service on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at precisely 10:30 am, in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
