Born and raised in Langhorne, PA, Trace’ was the daughter of William Schickling and Lynn Schickling (Gerstenmaier).
Trace’ was a Neshaminy Graduate of the class of 1999. She had many jobs in the banking industry until she found her calling in December of 2017 at ABCorp in Trevose, PA. Trace’ was an amazing employee and truly loved her job. An avid softball player, Trace’ was very competitive and with her father as her coach she was always pushed to do her best. Trace’ has many trophies from her days on the bowling league with Penndel Lanes. Trace’ always loved a good game night at home with her friends and family. To say she was competitive is an understatement.
Trace’s greatest accomplishment are her children, Joey and Savannah. She truly cherished every moment with them and they were her reason for fighting as long & hard as she did. Trace will forever be remembered as a mother who led with patience, kindness, forgiveness, and unrelenting love.
She will also be remembered for her sarcastic, hilarious, and magnetic sense of humor. Even in the toughest times, Trace could always enjoy a good joke. Her laugh and smile were contagious.
Throughout her harrowing battle, Trace continued to carry herself with strength, dignity, and grace. Her children as her motivation, Trace refused to give up or give in to the pain of her disease.
Somehow, even in sickness, Trace continued to put the little energy she had toward helping others. During her time in Recovery, Trace sponsored, inspired, motivated, and encouraged all who knew her. The relationships she created during her sobriety were important to her, and her legacy in the Rooms will never be forgotten. Trace’ celebrated 5 years of sobriety in April 2022.
Trace will be sadly missed by many and will be remembered the most as a loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, and friend.
Trace’ is survived by her parents, Lynn and William Schickling; siblings Renee Kitchener (Bo), and Erica Dougherty (John); her children, Joseph Graef and Savannah Graef; her grandmother, Katherine Gerstenmaier as well as her nieces and nephews whom she adored, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
