William H. Sharp

William H. Sharp of Levittown passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at St. Mary Medical Center with his family by his side after an 8 1/2 year battle with lung cancer. He was 68.Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Bill had been a resident of Levittown for 60 years.He spent his 35 year career working in various positions at U.S. Steel's Fairless Works.Bill was a proud U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam era, and was a recipient of the Bronze Star for Valor.He will be remembered as a truly loving and dedicated husband and father who was well loved by everyone and was devoted to his family and friends.Bill is the beloved husband of Lucy and the loving father of Jaime Sharp and Kevin Sharp.Son of Patsy (nee Piercy) and the late Harold Sharp, Bill is the brother of Joyce Coutts (John) and Brenda Whinney (Rodger) and will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.Family and friends are invited to an informal gathering from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. He will be laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Stand Up To Cancer, P.O.
