
BRUNSWICK- Andrew M. Kritzman of Topsham, Maine died suddenly at the age of 50 from a "heart event" on Tuesday evening, April 21, 2009. He had only recently begun taking medication for high blood pressure and cholesterol. Andy was brought up in a Catholic family in Redford, Michigan, and was the middle child of seven. His Father, Francis, died at the age of 49 in 1971. His mother, Eunice, passed away in 1980, also at the age of 49. He graduated from Redford Union High School in 1976. He served in the U.S. Navy for almost 7 years, beginning in 1977. Andy served on the U.S.S. Trippe until 1981 and did shore duty at the Naval Radio Transmitting Facility in Annapolis, MD in 1982 and 1983. Andy and Darlene were married on July 3, 1982 in Lewiston, Maine. They had three children while living in Maryland: Emily, Franklin and Gregory. They lived in Severna Park and Arnold, MD from 1982 through 1998 where they were members of New Covenant Church at Arnold for 13 years. In 1998, they moved to Topsham, Maine. Andy was an Associate Engineer at the C.R.O.F. branch of Bath Iron Works in Brunswick where he worked for over 10 years. Andy had been volunteering at the Cavalier Bingo in Lewiston, Maine for the past 15 years and was much loved by everyone who knew him. He always had a quick joke to make people smile. Andy was a faithful husband, great dad, and helpful neighbor, attending Christian church every Sunday and always helping people wherever he went. Whether it was changing a flat tire for a woman stranded at the side of the road, or making brunch for his family every Sunday, Andy was always serving people and was the epitome of the Good Samaritan. Andy was an excellent horseshoe player and relaxed by watching golf, baseball, football, and basketball on TV. He was also a competitive Euchre and Uno card player. Last August for his 50th birthday, he and his wife and children all went to Michigan to be with family and friends and see the six grandchildren who he dearly loved and thought about constantly. He got to enjoy a round of golf with his two oldest sons and a couple of brothers-in-law, scoring 50 on the front nine, and 50 again on the back nine on his 50th birthday!He is survived by his wife of 26 years Darlene Rose Laliberte Kritzman, and their children, Emily, Franklin and Gregory; he is also survived by his first wife, Linda Rusinowski Miller, and their two children, Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Kritzman of Livonia, Michigan, with their children Jacquelyn, Anastasia and Isabella, and Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Van de Burg of Hudsonville, Michigan with their children Caden, Brooke and Grace. He leaves six siblings, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kritzman of Whitehall, MI, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Molloy of Dearborn Heights, MI, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meredith of Evansville, WI, Mr. and Mrs. Gregg Kritzman of Redford, MI, Mr. and Mrs. Mark Schoening of Redford, MI and Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Murley of Bartlett, TN. NOTICE Kritzman- Died in Brunswick on Tuesday April 21, 2009. Mr. Andrew M. age 50 a resident of Topsham. A Funeral service honoring Andrew's life will be celebrated on Sunday at 4PM in the funeral home followed by military honors.
