

AUBURN- Anne passed away peacefully on February 13, 2014 at the Oddfellows and
Rebekah's Home of Maine in Auburn, Maine. Anne was born to Michela-Del Pizzo
& Nicolo D'Aiuto on April 22,1917 in Brooklyn, New York. Anne's family lived on
Staten Island, N. Y. C, during her childhood years.
Anne was married to Raymond Leone on January 17,1937 and moved to
Greenwich Village in Manhattan, N. Y.C. After six loving years and being blessed
with three children, Raymond passed away unexpectedly in 1943.
Anne was a devout part of the Greenwich Village community for sixty-five
wonderful years. Anne loved to volunteer at Saint Joseph's Senior Center and
many other senior centers in the area. Anne worked for the Catholic Archdiocese
of N. Y.C., City of New York Budget Office, and Fugazy Travel in Manhattan.
Anne's love in life was centered around cooking and baking; she spent many hour*
cooking for those she loved. Anne enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren it
Maine and New York. She traveled by the Grey Hound Bus and her grandchildren
looked forward to meeting her at the bus stop. During her summers in Maine, she
enjoyed sitting by the lake listening to the loons and spent many hours gardening.
In Sept 2001, Anne moved to Maine to be closer to her family.
Anne was a devoted Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She is
survived by her three children, Raymond Leone and his wife Angela of McLean,
Virginia, Marianne Brown Damon and her husband Carl of Poland, Maine and
Linda Leone of Auburn, Maine.
Anne was from a large family that included six brothers and eight sisters. She is
survived by her sisters Edith Kinney of Valencia, California, Beatrice Stafford of
Smyrna, Delaware, Josephine Samuelson of Highlands, New Jersey and Mary Kipp
of Staten Island, N.Y.C.
Anne is also survived by her four grandchildren: Linda Swallow and her husbanc
Albert Swallow III of South Portland, Maine, Maria Masse/// and her husband
Thomas ofFalmouth, Maine, Raymond Brown of Auburn, Maine and Gena Leon
of Nashville, Tennessee.
Further survivors are her great grandchildren whom adore her: Alexandra
Swallow, Staci Swallow, Kelsey Masse/// and Domonic Masse///. She is also st/rw'v
by the extended Fugazy family.
She was predeceased by bothers: Alfred, John, Harry, Orlando (Max), Nicholas a
Peter. Sisters: Clara Shea, Geniveu D'Aiuto, Margaret Gurriesi, Joan Welty and her
beloved son-and-law Raymond Kenneth Brown.
Anne's Family is grateful for the loving care and friendship she received from the
